Get to know Me!

My name is Elaysha Travis (she/her), and I am an Artist! I was born and raised in Madison, MS. Most of my childhood was spent playing outdoors with my brothers and friends. From a young age, I enjoyed the performing arts. I performed in school and church plays. However, I also had a love for athletics. I played every single sport under the sun. That being said, soccer was the sport I loved most and played for fourteen years. Playing soccer competitively didn't allow me time to explore the performing arts in my teenage years. Until...

I came to the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2020 with my major in Biology. I thought that I wanted to become a dermatologist; however, spending most of my time indoors during covid led me back to my love for the arts. I changed my  major to theatre and never looked back. Currently I am a senior in my final year of school.
